The Cutest Accessories
One of my favorite accessories is this adorable bracelet/hair ties. I wear them almost everyday and love how they function as both a hair tie and a bracelet. They come in so many different styles and colors. My favorites are the sparkles and patterns. I love how I can put a few on my wrist in the morning, but use them to tie back my hair later in the day when I'm tired of hair in my face! Either way, they compliment any outfit.

Leggings.
Problem: One thing I have noticed about my wardrobe choices throughout my first semester of college is the abundance of leggings/yoga pants. Throughout high school I would wear jeans everyday, occasionally leggings or sometimes even a colored jean. However, at college I can hardly ever bring myself to put on a pair of jeans. I wake up and want to put on the most comfortable outfit, which leads me to my pair of black leggings. My leggings and yoga pants have also become interchangeable.
Solution: This semester I am making a promise to myself to wear jeans more often and dress more fashionably to class. Even though I wear cute outfits when I go out, I think dressing up for class a couple times a week will make school a little more exciting. Wearing leggings with some sort of texture or added embellishment can dress up an outfit. I am going to try and save my black Lululemons for the gym and my textured "riding" leggings for school days.

I'm Back
A lot of things have changed throughout the past year. I have graduated high school, turned 18, and finished my first semester of college. One of my many New Year's Resolutions is to start blogging again. Blogging about the things I love--fashion, food, lifestyle-- is so great and I want to start making time for it on a regular basis! So here I am, making my way back into the blogosphere!

The Oscar's Best Dressed!
I hope everyone enjoyed watching the Oscars. It shouldn't surprise anyone that my favorite part is seeing all of the amazing fashions! This year there were many gorgeous dresses, and a few that I was not so thrilled to see. In particular, I loved seeing so many sequins and neutral colors. The Oscars are the most important awards of the season, so I always expect the clothes to reflect this status.
Some of my favorites were worn by Milla Jovovich, Kristen Wiig, and Giuliana Rancic. Milla Jovovich looked stunning in this dress by Elie Saab. The one shoulder and white sparkles looked elegant and sophisticated. Kristen Wiig was wearing J.Mendel and looked ethereal in her nude strapless gown. Giuliana Rancic was wearing a Tony Ward gown. She looked absolutely angelic. The intricate details and beading were spectacular.
As an LA girl, I'm sad to see the awards season coming to an end. Luckily there is always great fashion to see in this city!

Delicate Accessories
I may be a big fan of clunky jewelry (see my last post!), but I also love delicate accessories. Recently, I was shopping in one of my favorite boutiques and I bought myself this adorable bracelet. I was immediately drawn to the contrast of neutral colors as well as the slight glimmer. What I like about delicate jewelry is that it can be worn by itself or worn mixed with other bracelets. But beware, when buying delicate bracelets to make sure they "pop" against your skin tone!

Watches
One item every woman should own is a watch. For the past year or so I have contemplated investing in a good quality timepiece, but have just stuck to inexpensive, trendy options. However, I finally decided to splurge and get a Michael Kors watch. I chose one that was versatile, stylish, and silver. I couldn't decide between gold and silver, but finally chose silver because it looked better on my arm! Bottom line is that this watch was worth the investment. It serves as a permanent, classy accessory.

It's Raining, It's Pouring
We've recently had a bit of rain in LA. I know, I can't complain. Compared to the rest of the country, our weather is very tame! And don't get me wrong, I love the rain when I'm in the right outfit....but when I'm not, then rain=bad. Part of my dilemma with rain is that I don't have rainboots. Well, I do, but they are old and not very cute. This leads me to the adorable Hunter rainboots. They are so chic looking, especially with the socks, but I'm not sure if they are worth the investment. What do you think?
