Gel Nails

On Sunday I decided to splurge at the nail salon and try getting "gel" soak off nail polish. Basically, the "gel" is supposed to last longer and not chip. It sounded like a great idea so I went for it. My friend and I were so intrigued by the process that we hardly noticed the 45 minutes go by. The way they apply the nail polish is through multiple coats, starting and ending with special gel coats, and after each coat you have to put your hands in a dryer. Also, your nails are dry the second they are done. The only down side is the price; it is a little more expensive, but hopefully it will be worth it. Also, at the salon I went to they had a pretty big selection of colors (you have to use the specific gel polishes) which was very nice. So far my nails are holding up great and hopefully they will continue to throughout the holidays.

  1. ooooh i've been meaning to try this out! let me know how long they lasted!! :)
love your blog - check mine out? xxxx

  2. Where did you go for your manicure? Mine never last more than 3 days.

  3. Now that it has been a couple of days, was it worth the extra money?
I saw an add for that at a local salon and have been curious!

    Happy Holidays,
